If you are looking for an indulgent romantic getaway for two, a luxury break, with a group of friends or a chalet for your family and extended family up to eleven, Gotham can cater to all requirements. There are lovely views and a large, top of the range, outdoor spa on the deck allowing you to soak up all the Victorian High Country has to offer.

The ‘great room’ has triple height ceiling, a large stone open, fireplace and is the perfect place for lounging, watching movies (either using streaming services or from the extensive DVD collection), toasting marshmallows, reading or playing board games. The large dining table can seat ten comfortably and the gourmet kitchen, with a beautiful Italian granite bench top, is exceptionally well equipped and includes a coffee machine and break maker (so bring along your favorite beans and bread mix).

The master bedroom is upstairs and overlooks the ‘great room’, it is luxurious and spacious, with a king bed, a cozy lounge, desk, a television/DVD player and an ensuite with heated towel rails. The second bedroom is on the ground floor and is a cozy space with a television/DVD player and is located across the hall from the kids retreat. The retreat is fantastic as it contains 1 tri bunk and 1 single bunk set, a lounge (which is also a sofa bed with an innerspring mattress), a TV, games console including DVD player, games and books.

This spacious retreat offers a second living area and play area, allowing Gotham to cater to the entertainment needs of all guests. Baby equipment is also provided for our smallest guests at no extra charge and includes a port-a-cot, two highchairs and a baby bath. The main bathroom, also with heated towel rails, is on this level and contains concealed laundry facilities. A drying room is across the hall which leads to the garage where firewood is stored for the open fireplace.

Well-behaved, house-trained dogs are welcomed at Gotham. There is a dog door onto the secure deck allowing your dog to enjoy the indoors and outdoors. So please feel free to include your furry family member in your holiday plans. Please note there is a $50 fee per dog. No more than two please.

Gotham has free wire-less internet access and BBQ facilities. It is equipped with solar power and solar hot water, minimizing its carbon footprint. You will then enter Bearskin & arrive in the ‘ski room‘ you will be able to keep your ski gear in the separate drying room/laundry. The ground floor foyer opens to the queen bedroom with large built-in cupboard, the kid’s bunkroom with two double bunks, built in cupboard, TV/DVD & plenty of toys, games & books for bedtime stories & finally the bathroom.

You will then wander up the beautiful timber staircase to the main living area (this is where the huge day bed is). The roof is simply gorgeous with its cathedral raked ceiling & exposed beams looking through the huge windows towards the Alpine National Park. With the nature reserve just out the back and the Alpine National Park only a minute walk away. Nearby cross country ski trails and walking tracks. The mountain bike trails are nearby too. Mount Hotham Ski resort is only 14km away. Just a short walk to the children’s playground and the shops and restaurant. Parking just at the front door of the chalet.

Tariffs:

Summer 2025/2026: From 28 September to 2 April and 7 April to 4 June. Minimum 2 night stay $510 per night.

Easter 2026: From 3 April to 6 April. Minimum 3 night stay $565 per night.

Winter Low 2026: From 5 June to 11 July and 30 August to 3 October. Minimum 2 night stay $675 per night.

Winter High 2026: From 12 July to 29 August. Minimum 2 night stay. $735 per night.

Cancellations: Written notice of cancellation thirty days or more prior to arrival will incur a fee of 10% of total tariff. The balance of monies paid will be refunded. If less than thirty days notice is given no monies will be refunded unless the property can be re-booked. We recommend that you take travel insurance to cover against cancelation penalties due to involuntary cancelation. If cancelling due to Covid 19 there is a $100 administration with held.

Deposit: Deposit of 50% of total tariff is required within fourteen days of booking unless booking is made within thirty days of arrival then full payment is required on booking. Where deposit is unpaid after fourteen days, DPAMS reserves the right to cancel the booking without further notice. For Easter, Christmas, New Years, and the winter ski season, deposit of $400.00 is to be paid upon booking. Security Deposit: The person making the reservation and paying the require tariff to DPAMS is deemed responsible for care and security of the property during the period of their stay in the property. A security bond to paid prior to arrival with DPAMS prior to or on key collection. Any loss/damage to property and or fittings, excessive cleaning in accordance with cleaning time frames and or late checkout funds will used from bond. Security bond will be returned upon departure providing conditions of occupation have been met. We cannot allow you access to the property unless the conditions of this clause have been met.

Payments: Direct deposit, only.

Note: A $500 security bond (deposit) is required for for damage and excess cleaning.
